Cody Hudson Joins Memento Combat Sports – BJJ for Cops Class Every Monday at 8 PM
We’re excited to welcome Cody Hudson to the Memento Combat Sports family! Cody is bringing something special to our gym—a new class called “BJJ for Cops”, made just for law enforcement officers. This class happens every Monday at 8 PM and is all about helping police officers stay safe and in control during tough situations.
Who Is Cody Hudson?
Cody Hudson is a full-time Federal Law Enforcement Officer who works as a Special Agent in his agency’s Criminal Investigation Unit, along with being assigned to his agency’s Executive Protection Detail Unit and Special Event Team (Tactical Team).
Cody is a Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Instructor, Krav Maga Law Enforcement Instructor, and an IBJJF Certified Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.
He is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and the Knoxville Police Department Basic Training Academy. Cody holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bethel University.
He is the Owner and Head Instructor of the “BJJ for Cops” association. This is a “Free” weekly class for any Law Enforcement Officer. The BJJ for Cops association also provides training to LE agencies and police academies at special request.
We’re proud to have Cody at Memento Combat Sports. His classes will focus on teaching smart, safe, and effective techniques that officers can use on the job.
Why BJJ Helps Police Officers
BJJ is one of the best martial arts for law enforcement. Instead of hitting or hurting people, BJJ teaches how to control someone using body position, balance, and leverage. That means officers can stay safe and calm things down without using too much force.
In this class, officers will learn moves like takedowns, escapes, and ways to control someone until help arrives. It also builds confidence, helps with decision-making, and keeps officers calm in stressful moments.
